Established in 2010, the Bri-Stor Group apprenticeship has developed into a leading Midlands programme. Working in partnership with JCB Academy, we offer our Apprentices a unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of engineering theory combined with real world hands on experience.
How a Bri-Stor Group Apprenticeship Works
Bri-Stor Systems – NVQ Electro Mechanical Principles
Embark on a 3-year apprenticeship program to earn an NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship through EAL in electro-mechanical principles, within the field of vehicle installations, auto-electrics and assembly.
Year 1 will see apprentices’ study for 4 days a week at the JCB Academy, where they will learn basic Engineering and hand skills and 1 day at Bri-Stor. Years 2 & 3 consist of 1 day at JCB Academy and 4 at Bri-Stor, where you will complete the level 3 apprenticeship.
Alpha Manufacturing – NVQ Performing Engineering Operations
Studying towards an NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations, students will gain a basic understanding of engineering principles in such areas as CNC laser and punching, CNC press brakes, bench fitting, welding and fabrication.
During the first 6 months of the level 2 apprenticeship, students will be studying full time at the JCB academy. The following 6 months will be spent working 4 days per week at Alpha manufacturing with one day at the JCB academy
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, candidates that demonstrate the necessary level of commitment and desire to succeed could progress to a level 4 (foundation degree) qualification.
Throughout the apprenticeship students will gain experience and vital trade knowledge from expert instructors and mentors. Those who show the quality and willingness to advance their careers could go on to complete a level 4 (foundation degree) qualification.
